What is Fascia?
Fascia is a continuous, connective tissue network that surrounds, supports, and integrates every structure in the body. It weaves through muscles, bones, organs, nerves, and vessels, creating a unified system that gives the body shape, stability, and adaptability.
Rather than isolated parts, the body functions as an interconnected whole. Fascia is the medium through which force is transmitted, movement is coordinated, and structural relationships are maintained. Changes in one area of the fascial system can influence function, sensation, and movement elsewhere.
Healthy fascia is resilient, hydrated, and responsive. When the system becomes restricted or disorganized, movement efficiency can decrease, and compensatory patterns may develop. Myofascial bodywork works directly with this tissue network, supporting improved mobility, coordination, and structural balance.
By addressing fascia, the body is invited to reorganize itself from the inside out, allowing patterns to shift with greater clarity, ease, and integration.
